Desmond Powell

Desmond Powell is the host & creator of two podcasts under the 19 Media Group network. Hip 2 Da Games is where the brilliance of basketball & Hip-Hop's past and present is genuinely appreciated. Here you can find a blend of basketball analysis and Hip-Hop commentary with a variety of episodes centered around album reviews, lyric breakdowns, interviews, and much more.

After pivoting in January 2026, Desmond shifted his attention to focus solely on basketball analysis with The Mid-Post. Carrying much of the same energy as his former show, this podcast is for the basketball fan who appreciates raw analysis on what takes place on the court, while showing love to some of the best scorers the NBA has seen.
